The Law Offices of Robert C. Hawkins provides practical and cost effective legal solutions to the challenges facing public agencies, companies and individuals in Southern California and throughout the state. Our approach is proactive and preventative: we work with clients to assist them in meeting their challenges before the challenges become problems.
Our size and interests focus and limit our practice to the following areas: public agency law; natural resources law; land use; environmental law; California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act issues; water law; business and commercial law included contracts and employment issues and other related areas. Our current and former clients have included private landowners, companies and public agencies of all types including irrigation districts, county water districts, and cities, as well as private companies including mutual water companies, developers and water conservation companies. Representative clients include the Pomona Valley Protective Association, the West End Consolidated Water Company, Diamond Brothers, Inc., RK Farms, Summit Real Estate Group, and San Antonio Water Company.
Our clients are very satisfied with the results and with our service. Recently, we obtained substantial settlements in connection with environmental impacts of the Foothill Freeway on groundwater resources in the Pomona Valley and in the Cucamonga Basin. In addition, we have worked with landowners in Ventura County in connection with the development and entitlement work for a former oil dump. We have represented agricultural water producers in the Mojave River Basin Area and limited a proposed production reduction or ramp down. We have also obtained significant settlements for individual landowners adversely affected by actions of municipalities including takings claims, entitlement issues and related matters.
